For many years now pharmeceutical companies have tried and failed (disastrously) to provide an answer to the high percentage of smokers who want to quit. The patches and gum they have produced have proved to be less effective than trying to stop smoking using nothing at all! with just a 4% effective rate.

What they failed to address with these NRT are the habit part of smoking which can be psychologically more binding than the nicotine addiction itself.
