As electronic cigarette technology gains further acceptance by medical experts as a logical alternative for smokers looking to maintain the habit of smoking but reduce the harmful effects of ingesting the 4000+ chemicals and carcinogens found in tobacco, the attention of regulators turns to the ingredients of the refills used by e-cig suppliers.

Not wanting to be a case of ‘out of the frying pan into the fire’, it should also be a concern for all e-cig vapers as the chemicals used in an electronic cigarette refill cartridge have the potential for serious harm. The main source of worry however is not the nicotine content but more the source and concentration of the propylene glycol used in the cartridges.

Propylene Glycol comes in two grades. Pahrmaceutical and industrial. Differentiated by concentration only, one is deemed to be safe and is used in a range of food products, the other more concentrated form is a very harmful toxin and is regurlarly used instead of its closely related chemical DEG in applications such as anti-freeze.Herein lies the dilemma. The only company that currently manufactures their e cig refills in a FDA registered lab is inLife LLC .

All other known suppliers have no regulatory method of independently verifying the ingredients in their product. With most of the product being manufactured in China, there is therefore concern that high competition in this growing market could cause manufacturers to cut costs and use the cheaper more toxic concentration of propylene glycol just as milk suppliers did a couple of years ago adding toxic supplement to their milk to cut costs.Hopefully, other suppliers will follow the example that inLife LLC have set and set a standard for self regulation of product quality. Only then will the industry start to gain favour and be able to deliver the huge benefits to public health that are widely becoming accepted.

Electronic Cigarette Co’s Win FDA Court Battle

It official, the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) does not have regulatory powers over electronic cigarettes.

In a ruling by a Washington Federal court, the judge critised the FDA for overstepping their authority in seizing imports of electronic cigarettes by two importers and by trying to regulate the industry.

In his ruling the judge agreed with the electronic cigarette submission and said that electronic cigarettes were the ‘functional equivilent of traditional cigarettes’

The FDA recently gained the power to regulate tobacco products but as electronic cigarettes do not contain tobacco ( or the carcinogens contained therin!) then they were not within the remit of powers of the FDA to regulate.

Electronic cigarettes supplied by inlife LLC are the only company so far to manufacture their refill cartridges in an FDA registered laboratory and by so doing have their ingredients independently verified.

When it comes to electric cigarettes you are definitely spoilt for choice with an ever-increasing number of brands appearing daily online…..or are you?

The fact is, that if you look close enough you will discover that many of the brands that you see online are in fact the same product manufactured in China by an ever increasing group of chinese factories cheaply branded to look like different products. In fact anyone with as little as $10,000 can set up their own brand and off you go! As the competition increases, for what is expected to be a $50 billion dollar indusrty over the next 5 years, the warning signals should start to go off about how some manufacturers continue to undercut the costs in the industry.

As an independent distributor for the Inlife product range, which includes the Elite, Prestige, Royale & Regal in the US and the Elite & Marquee in the UK, I know I will sleep soundly at night in the knowledge that the company I have associated with are the leaders in terms of the product they are producing.

When it comes to a product that you are ingesting into your body, do you really want to be opting for the cheapest product you can find?

Or would it be wiser to spend a little extra up front to get something you can trust?

Of course what I am talking about are the nicotine refills To my knowledge, Inlife are the only electronic cigarette company that provides refill cartriges that are:

1. Synthetic Nicotine as opposed to tobacco extracted nicotine.

2. Made from Pharmeceutical grade materials in a FDA,(Food & drug Administration) registered laboratory.

The first point may sound a little technical. What is the difference between synthetic & tobacco extracted nicotine and why is it important?

The problem with tobacco extracted nicotine lies in the trace elements that are left behind from the process. It has been proven that nitrosamines and other carcinogens found in tobacco are not completely seperated when nicotine is extracted from tobacco. Synthetic nicotine production from non tobacco sources costs more but is preferable to ensure you are achieving the goal of an electronic cigarette…to give the smoking experience without the harmful carcinogens associated with tobacco.

The second point goes right to the issues you may read about the electric cigarette industry. The primary concern being voiced by many electronic cigarette opponents is that because the industry is unregulated, it is impossible to know what exactly is in the refill cartridges supplied from China. We all remember the issues with cheap childrens toys that were found to contain lead and more recently the problems with Chinese milk.

As some-one who is now a full time member of this industry I have to say they have a point.

That is why, when I came across a company that was light years ahead of the game and that offerred a business opportunity to participate in this industry, I jumped at it. Inlife made the choice to lead the industry and to date are the only company I know of that uses an FDA registered laboratory (Japanese owned) and pharmeceutical grade materials to produce their synthetic nicotine refills.

This alone was enough to convince me. but there was more…

Inlife has reinvested in development which now means the batteries supplied by Inlife are so good they will last at least a year. If you have tried other cheaper e-cigs, you will know that batteries are probably the most unreliable aspect of electronic cigarettes. At an average $10-$15 to replace, the cost of replacing a battery a month soon adds up over time.

In conclusion, you may think that because I became an Inlife distributor that I am naturally biased. And I am!

But my bias is based on the facts which I researched meticulously before entering this industry and deciding who to choose as a partner. My research led me to one conclusion….and here I am today.

Electric Cigarettes – Know What You Are Smoking

With Big Tabacco & pharmeceutical companies scrambling to lobby governments to ban the use of electronic cigarettes to protect their profits and governments themselves weighing up how to recoup lost tax revenues from the sales of tobacco, the fledgling electric cigarette industry has to fight hard to install  credability.

It doesn’t help that most of the industry manufacturing electronic cigarettes and their nicotine refills is based in China. Dodgy milk containing plastic and lead paint in childrens toys are just two examples of a manufacturing expansion in China not having the regulatory infrastructure to keep up with its growth.

In terms of electronic cigarettes, the most important single factor has to be a confidence in the refill nicotine cartridges that companies provide. The whole point of the electronic cigarette is to provide an alternative device to existing smokers that contain less harmful ingredients than the 4000 or so carcinogen laden tabacco cigarettes.

In an attempt to stay one step ahead of the game, Inlife LLC, uses only pharmecuetical grade materials from an FDA registered laboratory to produce its vegetable extracted nicotine refill. A more expensive process, but one that gives confidence to its users  that what they are smoking is exactly what the labelling says it is.

This customer stated ” Two things made me choose an Inlife electric cigarette. The quality of the product and the guarantees on the batteries and atomizers. But probably the most important factor was the nicotine refills. I want to know what I am smoking, otherwise why would I change from tabacco cigarettes? The Inlife products dont even use tabacco extracted nicotine that can contain traces of other chemicals. The drug companies use tabacco extracted nicotine in their patches and gum because its cheaper. Inlifes use of vegetable extracted nicotine gives me great confidence that this is a responsible company that is ahead of the game”

Inlife produce four electronic cigarettes. The Elite, The Prestige, The Royale and The Regal. All are strictly marketed to existing smokers only and you must be over the legal age of smoking to purchase.

The leading brand of electronic cigarette in the USA is a step closer to launching its products into the UK and Europe.

The Elite and Prestige (and new Regal) Brands of alternative smoking device are eagerly awaited as they have taken the American market by storm.

Electronic cigarettes are devices that simulate the smoking experience without the harmful carcinogens usually associated with tabacco. The electronic cigarette industry is expected to top $50 Billion in sales in the next 5 years.

The launch of Inlife into Europe also hails the opportunity of a lifetime to participate in what is probably the fastest growing industry on the planet at the moment.
