It has been a long road travelled to reach what many would have said was straight-forward logic, but the UK government department, MHRA, is finally starting to admit the potential benefit that electronic cigarettes or e-cigs may have in reducing the numbers of people smoking tobacco.

Even at this point though, they are still wavering to sucumb to drug company pressures to classify the new technology as a medicine. The same drug company lobby that has effectively been ripping off smokers with NRT treatments like patches and gum that have been shown to be expensive and completely ineffective in helping people stop smoking. (The effectiveness of these NRT treatments has been gauged at 4-5%, a level lower than that of the human will to stop smoking on your own with no aids, which was measured at 10%!)

The race is on in a lucrative market, (Tabacco sales amounted to over 12.6 billion pounds (2007) and amongst the myriad of companies currently selling electric cigarettes in the UK, there is only one company, inLife LLC , who manufacture refills in any sort of controlled enviroment.

The fact that chinese manufactured cigarettes have flooded the market with a lack of labelling has raised concerns over what the cartridges from China may contain. Recent scares with Chinese milk and lead in toys meant that a product such as electronic cigarettes must have some sort of regulation to stop a similar catastrophe.

inLife, whose Marquee electronic cigarette uses refills manufactured in an FDA registered laboratory seem to lead the way to the future of the industry and their launch in the UK at the beginning of the year is seen as a stepping stone to wider expansion across Europe.

In any event, now that governments are beginning to see past the mis-information put forward by Tobacco and drug company fronts like ASH the acceptance of the e-cig as a logical alternative to smoking tobacco may start to see the use of the devices becoming more widespread

Electronic Cigarette Co’s Win FDA Court Battle

It official, the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) does not have regulatory powers over electronic cigarettes.

In a ruling by a Washington Federal court, the judge critised the FDA for overstepping their authority in seizing imports of electronic cigarettes by two importers and by trying to regulate the industry.

In his ruling the judge agreed with the electronic cigarette submission and said that electronic cigarettes were the ‘functional equivilent of traditional cigarettes’

The FDA recently gained the power to regulate tobacco products but as electronic cigarettes do not contain tobacco ( or the carcinogens contained therin!) then they were not within the remit of powers of the FDA to regulate.

Electronic cigarettes supplied by inlife LLC are the only company so far to manufacture their refill cartridges in an FDA registered laboratory and by so doing have their ingredients independently verified.

Somebody told me the other day that the top 2 most ‘promised’ New Years resolutions were;

1. Stop smoking Tobacco

2. Make some more money in the coming year.

Well it’s nice to know that this year i have achieved both even before the New Year has started!

The fact is, that as a 50 a day smoker, I never had any intention of quitting or even wanting to quit. Whether it was the addiction that drove this sentiment I do not know. But that was the reality.

When I came across Inlife and it’s range of smoking devices, my first thought was to have something to smoke when I was out and about more than something I could use full time. The result however was a different story.

What I found was that once I had used the Inlife Marquee for a day I tried smoking a cigarette and almost immediately put it out. The reason was that after just a day smoking, what is effectively just nicotine, water and propylene glycol (a food additive found in things like ice-cream), I could literally taste the 4000 or so chemicals that effectively kill you in tobacco.

I put it down to being clear the palate because I couldn’t taste the crud before. The electronic cigarette became like smoking a fine wine over a glass that had had a cigarette put out in it at a party!

So by the second day, I was done with tobacco and now enjoy my Inlife marquee electric cigarette like it’s my new best friend! It is great with my first cup of tea in the morning. After dinner, I don’t even have to leave the table. There is no smell with the electronic cigarette and no lingering smoke. The water vapour you produce and blow smoke rings into the air simply evaporates quickly and leaves no evidence it ever existed.

Someone posed the question to me that was the trace element of nicotine that is bound to be found in the vapour harmful?

About as harmful as the trace of caffeine in the vapour coming off your after dinner cup of coffee I replied.  Both caffeine and nicotine come from the samealkaloid  group of chemicals with very similar properties.

Neither are harmful.

I have been around a lot of coffee drinkers and never had the urge to take up their habit!

You see its the ‘extras’ in tobacco that kill you. The Benzene, Formaldahyde, Arsenic and Ammonia to name but a few of the 63 known carcinogens in a tobacco cigarette. They are the bad guys but I also know that it matters little to a smoker whether it is going to kill them or not. If you smoke, you smoke. Patches and gum have been proven to be totally ineffective and useless.

So for all you fervent anti-smokers out there who think they can all just stop at a moments notice. I suggest you start plugging electronic cigarettes as the solution in an imperfect world to a serious problem.

Which brings me onto New years resolution number two. Make some extra Money.

Inlife LLC are a Californian based company who market their electronic cigarettes through Network marketing or MLM, Multi Level marketing.

With the tobacco industry estiamted to be worth several hundred billion dollars a year across the US, Canada, UK and Europe, this holds quite a large market for their new technology products. Add the fact they are competing against unreliable products from China where you never know what you are ingesting or when the cheap cigarette will pack up and leave you stranded and you will see that the Inlife products containing refills manufactured in an FDA registered laboratory (only company that does) and solid state battery technology that you can rely on means that there is definetely money to be made!

So go on, for once you have an opportunity to actually make those top 2 New Years resolutions come true.

I hope writing this article is my Christmas present to you and it enables you to see that you can truly give a christmas present to yourself and all of the family around you that love you….without having to quit smoking…just quit smoking tobacco.

Here’s to a fantastic 2010

Call it a cliche but ‘nothing compares’ to the Inlife Marquee electric cigarette with New Regal2 cartridges.

Gone is the need to replace atomizers not knowing quite whether they have run their course or not.

Gone is need (as is found with most cheap chinese e-cigs) to buy 6-12 batteries a year.

Gone is the danger associated with handling liquid nicotine that many suppliers of electronic cigarettes force their customers to suffer.

The Marquee smoking device now has only two components:

1. The solid state battery with micro technology – guaranteed for a year but expected to last much longer

2. A refill cartridge atomizer unit that is sealed.

The result is the closest thing to smoking a tobacco cigarette you will ever find without the carcinogens that tobacco provides. In fact, having been fortunate enough to be able to have tested the new cartridges before they were launched I can honestly say that I cant see a reason why any smoker, (and I was a 50 a day man who never had any intention of quitting),  who would not prefer this experience to that of a tobacco cigarette.

In fact, I ran out of cartridges between the testing and the launch and at one point had to actually smoke a cigarette to get my nicotine fix.

OH MY GOD….

The first drag and I could start to taste the crud that is a tobacco cigarette. When you smoke a lot..it dulls your taste and I can still remember the days when I looked forward to my post meal or first cup of tea cigarette. But after just 2 days of smoking clean nicotine vapour manufactured in an FDA lab, you will really taste the crud in tobacco and will never want to go back.

I could go on….but I am a smoker not a preacher and I know too well from experience that smokers hate being preached to!

My last thought is this.

Think of that first cigarette of the day…or that one after dinner. Then think what if I could enjoy that without the cancer threat that will kill me 20 years before my time…..hold that thought whilst you click on the link …HERE

Go get yourself a Marquee electric cigarette with Regal2 cartridges

You will not be disappointed.

Inlife Regal (with Regal2 cartridges) will not disappoint you

Inlife Regal (with Regal2 cartridges) will not disappoint you

When it comes to electric cigarettes you are definitely spoilt for choice with an ever-increasing number of brands appearing daily online…..or are you?

The fact is, that if you look close enough you will discover that many of the brands that you see online are in fact the same product manufactured in China by an ever increasing group of chinese factories cheaply branded to look like different products. In fact anyone with as little as $10,000 can set up their own brand and off you go! As the competition increases, for what is expected to be a $50 billion dollar indusrty over the next 5 years, the warning signals should start to go off about how some manufacturers continue to undercut the costs in the industry.

As an independent distributor for the Inlife product range, which includes the Elite, Prestige, Royale & Regal in the US and the Elite & Marquee in the UK, I know I will sleep soundly at night in the knowledge that the company I have associated with are the leaders in terms of the product they are producing.

When it comes to a product that you are ingesting into your body, do you really want to be opting for the cheapest product you can find?

Or would it be wiser to spend a little extra up front to get something you can trust?

Of course what I am talking about are the nicotine refills To my knowledge, Inlife are the only electronic cigarette company that provides refill cartriges that are:

1. Synthetic Nicotine as opposed to tobacco extracted nicotine.

2. Made from Pharmeceutical grade materials in a FDA,(Food & drug Administration) registered laboratory.

The first point may sound a little technical. What is the difference between synthetic & tobacco extracted nicotine and why is it important?

The problem with tobacco extracted nicotine lies in the trace elements that are left behind from the process. It has been proven that nitrosamines and other carcinogens found in tobacco are not completely seperated when nicotine is extracted from tobacco. Synthetic nicotine production from non tobacco sources costs more but is preferable to ensure you are achieving the goal of an electronic cigarette…to give the smoking experience without the harmful carcinogens associated with tobacco.

The second point goes right to the issues you may read about the electric cigarette industry. The primary concern being voiced by many electronic cigarette opponents is that because the industry is unregulated, it is impossible to know what exactly is in the refill cartridges supplied from China. We all remember the issues with cheap childrens toys that were found to contain lead and more recently the problems with Chinese milk.

As some-one who is now a full time member of this industry I have to say they have a point.

That is why, when I came across a company that was light years ahead of the game and that offerred a business opportunity to participate in this industry, I jumped at it. Inlife made the choice to lead the industry and to date are the only company I know of that uses an FDA registered laboratory (Japanese owned) and pharmeceutical grade materials to produce their synthetic nicotine refills.

This alone was enough to convince me. but there was more…

Inlife has reinvested in development which now means the batteries supplied by Inlife are so good they will last at least a year. If you have tried other cheaper e-cigs, you will know that batteries are probably the most unreliable aspect of electronic cigarettes. At an average $10-$15 to replace, the cost of replacing a battery a month soon adds up over time.

In conclusion, you may think that because I became an Inlife distributor that I am naturally biased. And I am!

But my bias is based on the facts which I researched meticulously before entering this industry and deciding who to choose as a partner. My research led me to one conclusion….and here I am today.
